Minecraft XBLA Gets 8M Sales, 360 Edition Tops uK Charts Again

Mojang's Minecraft is now up to 8 million total sales on Xbox 360, the game's retail arrival clearly building on the XBLA version's success. Take a look at this week's UK charts and the Xbox 360 Edition is the fourth game of the year to be Numero Uno for three consecutive weeks; the other three are The Last of Us, Dead Island: Riptide, and BioShock Infinite.

The feat is happening as the Xbox 360 version prepares for Title Update 12, with the full changelog is now up on PlayXBLA.  53VV.COM The PC version features Ocelots that can make creepers go running, as well as the jungle biomes where they spawn.

Silly season is very nearly here, but it's not quite time to retreat behind the trees and watch the chaos unfold. It's another week of slowness in the UK Charts office. To understand why you just have to watch FIFA 13 and The Smurfs 2 in second or third respectively.

In spite of the silence and quiet, there's a promising debut for Tales of Xillia. Namco's JRPG is afloat to the top of the fourth place, which is somewhat of a surprise considering the series' previous track record in the UK - to compare the two, one year ago Tales of Graces F debuted in 14th.
